1. NAME

Article 1:
The name of the society shall be The Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Graphene Research Society, and the headquarters shall be established within the organization to which the president belongs.
The secretariat shall be Yutaka Ohno and shall be located within the Ohno Research Laboratory, Center for Integrated Research of Future Electronics,
Institute of Materials and Systems for Sustainability, Nagoya University, Furo-cho, Chikusa-Ku, Nagoya 464-8601, Japan.


2. OBJECTIVES

Article 2:
The objective of the society is to create an opportunity to provide information concerning basic science and applied technology relating to nano carbon based materials such as fullerenes, carbon nanotubes and graphene and to provide an opportunity for members to get together.



3. UNDERTAKINGS

Article 3:
The Society carries out the following activities in order to achieve the objectives of the society.
1. The Fullerenes-Nanotubes-Graphene General Symposium
2. Other activities



4. MEMBERSHIP

Article 4:
The Society consists of the following members.
1. Individual members−I. General members; II. Student members
2. Patron members

Article 5:
Applicants may join the Society by submitting an application form and paying the membership fee.



5. OFFICERS

Article 6:
The following officers shall be appointed by the Society.
1. One president and several vice-presidents
2. Officers−the number of whom shall be established as appropriate in accordance with the number of members; subject to the provision that one officer shall act as accounting officer. Further, full time officer positions may be established as necessary.
3. Two auditors

Article 7:
1. Officers and auditors shall be elected by a membership ballot.
2. The president and vice-president shall be elected from amongst the officers or by recommendation, and more than 2/3 confidence in the officers is required.
3. The term of office of the president, vice-president and officers shall be for two years; subject to the provision that reappointment shall not be impeded.

Article 8:
The officers shall organize board meetings.

Article 9:
The president shall represent the board and shall convene meetings as necessary and notify members of board decisions and work to implement such decisions.



6. GENERAL MEETINGS AND BOARD MEETINGS

Article 10:
The following matters shall be submitted to the general meeting and shall obtain approval from the meeting.
1. Project plans and income and expenditure budgets
2. Project reports and the settlement of accounts
3. Other matters deemed necessary at a meeting of the board

Article 11:
Notification of the holding of a general meeting shall be given to members at least seven days in advance.

Article 12:
General meetings may not take place unless the majority of members are in attendance; subject to the provision that members who have indicated their intention in writing and members who have entrusted their vote to another attending member shall be deemed to be members in attendance.

Article 13:
Board meetings shall determine and enforce matters relating to the management of the Society.

Article 14:
Board meetings shall be effective when more than half of the officers are in attendance and decisions thereof shall require the approval of more than 2/3 of the officers.



7. ACCOUNTING

Article 15:
Society expenses shall be derived from membership fees, donations and other sources.

Article 16:
Membership fees shall be determined separately.

Article 17:
Settlement of accounts shall be undertaken each year and shall be subject to an accounting audit and reported to members.

Article 18:
The accounting year for the Society shall start on April 1 and finish on March 31 of the following year.



8. COPYRIGHT REGULATIONS

Article 19:
Copyright (= literary copyright, copyright) of each abstract published in the “Abstracts of Fullerenes-Nanotubes-Graphene General Symposium” shall be attributed to the Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Graphene Research Society.



9. AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION

Article 20:
Approval of at least 2/3 of the officers is required in order to amend this Constitution.

Supplementary Rules
(1) Matters not provided for in this Constitution shall be discussed and enacted by the board of officers.
